Summers received some nice coverage during a recent segment of Iron Monday on KVLY news. In his interview, our own Brian Perkuhn offered excellent insight into the features that make the VRT 2530 such a versatile and functional piece of tillage equipment. He also touched on our patent-pending rolling baskets with internal mud scrapers, and how their addition to the VRT makes it the ultimate seedbed prep tool.

50th Anniversary Open Houses Set at Summers Locations

To help celebrate 50 years of manufacturing field tested tough products for farmers to help feed and fuel the world, Summers is hosting open houses at its Dakota locations. Dates and locations are as follows:

  • June 11, Aberdeen, S.D., 11:00 am-2:00 pm
  • July 30, Devils Lake, N.D., 11:00 am-2:00 pm
  • Oct. 15, Maddock, N.D., 11:00 am-2:00 pm

Summers staff will be on hand, including members of the executive team and 50th Anniversary Committee. The events will be free and open to the public; burgers, brats and refreshments will be served.

January 2015 - Summers Introduces VRT2530 Variable Rate Tillage Tool

Developed in response to customer requests, the new VRT2530 variable rate tillage tool from Summers allows the operator to adjust tillage aggressiveness on the go. It offers a mix of both conventional and vertical tillage capabilities, making it ideal for producers who want more control over their tillage results.

November 2014 - Summers Expands Vertical Tillage Line

Summers has expanded its Supercoulter product line with 11- and 60-foot models. The new widths cater to both large and small operations in need of vertical tillage solutions.

June 2014 - WEAR-TUFF® Option Extends Blade Service Life

Duracoat blade options are now available for Summers Supercoulter, CoulterChisel and DT Series Diamond Disk tillage tools. The new blades feature an abrasion-resistant WEAR-TUFF® coating to extend service life as much as three- to five-times longer than standard blade options.

August 2013 - Patent-Pending Rolling Basket Design Eliminates Mud Hassle

Summers Manufacturing added patent-pending internal mud scrapers to its rolling basket attachments for tillage equipment, increasing their performance by allowing them to effectively break clods, mix residue and level the soil profile in most field conditions. The mud scrapers are engineered to alleviate a variety of issues associated with traditional rolling basket designs.

August 2013 - Summers Launches Narrow-Transport Diamond Disk

New Narrow-Transport Diamond Disks are available with 28.5-foot cutting widths, and combine high-performance residue management with the ability to fold to 16 feet wide for transport on narrow roads. Summers developed the new models to meet the tillage needs of growers everywhere.
